Soldier On works with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to provide emergency and transitional housing with an extensive continuum of services and support for veterans who are experiencing homelessness, and those at-risk of becoming homeless.
All veterans residing in Soldier On’s Transitional Housing work with a case manager to create an individualized plan for obtaining permanent housing or transitioning to another supportive setting.
Veterans in the Soldier On program work toward increasing their income, accessing benefits, and achieving any other goals that may help them regain housing stability.
As residents of Soldier On, veterans receive basic necessities including daily meals and clothing, within our safe, secure housing. Each veteran has access to case management, medical and mental health services, substance abuse treatment and peer support through both the Dept. of Veterans Affairs and community-based agencies. Soldier On provides transportation to medical and dental appointments, legal appointments, education and employment.
The Soldier On Women’s Program
Soldier On has been providing services to women veterans since 2005. Soldier On’s Women’s Program offers a separate facility for female-identified veterans who are experiencing homelessness, or those at-risk of becoming homeless.
Soldier On offers specialized services designed to meet the unique needs of women veterans. While staying with us, residents receive supportive services from our staff and the community, as well as the VA Medical Center — all in preparation for resuming independent life when they’re ready.
